Setting Children Up for Success

St. Aloysius provides consultation, prevention and early intervention strategies for children ages 2–5 and their
families. Children who are in need of support can receive these services in the office or school setting.
Our providers are trained in evidence based early childhood therapeutic practices and dire work directly with
the adults involved in the child’s care to assure comprehensive and collaborative treatment models are followed.

What is Early Childhood Mental Health

At St. Aloysius we begin our process by offering social, emotional and behavioral evaluations for children ages
2–5 to ensure that they are receiving the best care for their individual needs. Intervention
and prevention strategies are offered to preschool and Head Start programs across the region.

Early Childhood therapists help foster the social–emotional

development and behavioral well–being of children ages 2–5 through targeting specific strategies that build protective factors and reduce risk factors that lead to behavioral concerns.

Our system of care includes parental guidance and support to promote a healthy family structure as well as consultation services
for educators and administrators
to assist with positive strategies

in the classroom environment.
Consultation is offered to educators and staff to assist
with positive strategies in the classroom. Our early childhood providers are trained in evidence based therapeutic practices,
such as Play Therapy, Art Therapy and PCIT Interventions. All early childhood practices are supported by research and the Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS).
