Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Must have an Associate’s degree or higher. 

Experience:

  • Must have at least one year of experience of working with emotionally disturbed children.
  • Must be able to accept and incorporate constructive feedback into job duties.
  • Must receive training in the Teaching Family Model, a model for positive behavior change, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, a de-escalation procedure and trauma informed care.

 Brief Position Description:

  • Engage in all offered trainings, consultations, and supervisions required.
  • Assist with students’ point cards.
  • Supervise students at all times.
  • Assist Art and Gym teacher with students
  • Move to ASPH when day students leave for the day.
  • Monitor and assist students with their assignments in Art, Gym and ASPH
  • Keep teachers updated on students’ progress
  • Willing and able to do physical restraints following Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) model.
  • Document incident/restraint reports and any other reports related to students
  • Provide feedback on how students are progressing behaviorally and academically.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Department: Partial Hospitalization

PH Group Specialist

The Partial Hospitalization (PH) Group Specialist will assist in all facets of the daily management of the program and youth attending the program. This individual will be providing direct, day-to-day therapeutic interventions in accordance with the child’s treatment plan.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree, required
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Five or more years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree
  • Three years’ experience working with emotionally disturbed children, preferred
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, good driving record and proof of auto insurance
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must achieve and maintain Teaching Family Model Certification
  • Must achieve Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training that requires mastery of de-escalation techniques, crisis prevention and physical restraint techniques all for use on youth and adolescents

Duties & Functions:

  • Follow all program objectives, systems, policies, procedures and directives as indicated by supervisors and training personnel, as well as policies and procedures of the program and the agency. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
  • Demonstrate and reinforce the Teaching Family Model through day-to-day teaching
  • Monitors environment, ensures it is safe place for youth and staff; reports potentially dangerous conditions to the appropriate supervisor
  • Maintain a safe and orderly therapeutic environment, in accordance with TFM and TCI, including supportive crisis intervention for PH youth
  • Ability to physically intervene during crisis. This includes the functional ability to physically restrain youth/clients, requiring retention of trained knowledge under stress as well as the ability to meet significant physical demands including those of a struggle with someone who may potentially be physically larger and heavier, while making all possible efforts not to inflict injury. Includes the ability to continue to request or direct compliance from youth while they are being restrained
  • Modeling and guidance of the youth
  • Assist with PH group activities
  • Monitor and supervise youth’s behavior at all times
  • Complete all required documentation of youth in care

JOB TITLE: Supervisor School Based Mental Health Services – Butler County, LISW-S or LPCC-S, Signing Bonus

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Butler County School Based Services Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the administration and supervision of school based services in Butler County. The Butler County School Based Services Clinical Coordinator ensures that services are therapeutic and appropriately meet the needs of children and families. Butler County School Based Services Clinical Coordinator directly supervises the school based therapists.

Butler County School Based Services Clinical Coordinator must be qualified to provide counseling and psychotherapy, diagnostic assessments, and community support services according to Chapter 5122-23 of the Administrative Code.

JOB DUTIES

Oversee the Butler County School Based Program, operationally and clinically. Insure that program operates in an effective and efficient manner.

Provide consultation for school based treatment team members on therapeutic and clinical issues including planning and facilitating team meetings.

Coordinate supervision with all clinicians.

Participate in regular supervision with the Managing Director of Child Programming

Review school based documentation for compliance and holds supervisees accountable to all compliance expectations on a weekly basis.

Maintain a balanced program budget with profit margins as directed by agency Strategic Leadership Team.

Hold staff accountable to productivity requirements.

Assists with professional staff recruitment to attract an experienced, well-trained, culturally diverse professional treatment staff.

Ensure appropriate standards of mental health treatment are maintained. Ensures that staff practices are within the parameters set forth by regulating and accrediting standards.

Serves as clinical back up for all therapists supervised.

Participates in treatment planning, case management, and discharge planning of patient in compliance with state and other relevant regulatory agency standards

Conducts staffing conferences related to clinical and treatment issues.

Attends training for professional development, to maintain professional licensure and meet licensing regulations.

Monitors, and observes clinical service provision to safeguard for compliance with agency service plan guidelines and regulations of the OMHAS, BCMHRSB, Medicaid and CARF.

Adhere to the philosophy of the Sanctuary Model and utilize the Sanctuary tools in daily practice with staff and clients.

Maintain a direct service productivity of 10 hours per week.

Requirements:

Independent license (LISW, LPCC), supervisor endorsement preferred. 3 years clinical experience, including child, group, and family therapy. Experience providing clinical supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, mental health or a closely related field.
  • One to three years of experience working with mentally ill youth and their families of different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Licensure by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board
  • Independent licensure, preferred
  • Individual must be highly motivated, flexible, independent, an excellent communicator and have the ability to engage difficult youth and their families.

Duties & Functions:

  • The Therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic services to the clients. These services include individual and family therapy and group therapy as well as consultation with staff in order to attain treatment goals.
  • The Therapist is responsible for performing the initial diagnostic assessments, updating mental and emotional disorder information, obtaining personal history, completing documentation, determining client diagnosis and gathering other pertinent data
  • Will provide mental health treatment and evaluate client response by monitoring and documenting progress
  • Manages charts and ensures compliance by reviewing forms for completeness
  • Develops individualized treatment plans; monitors outcome surveys and Ohio Scales for needed administrations and inputs progress notes and client information into appropriate system

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related and one to two years related experience and/or training. Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as case notes, treatment plans and procedure manuals, as well as experience with electronic medical records. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Valid driver’s license, good driving record, with documentation verifying current automobile insurance

Brief Description:

  • Provide services to a case load of child case management clients in a Hamilton County school.
  • The CPST worker will work with the therapist to formulate a treatment plan for the client and family system.
  • The CPST worker will provide linkages to community support services, advocacy and work closely with the school districts to provide feedback on the progress and assist with interventions to help the client sustain throughout the school day.
  • Direct care will be provided in the home, school, and community settings.
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking applicants preferred.
  • Provide technical assistance (i.e. securing medical card, assisting with school transfers and enrollments and supporting psychiatric services), emotional support and assistance in conjunction with other agencies.
  • Provides assistance during crisis interventions.
  • Provide direct, in-home monitoring of child on an ongoing basis. Through home visits when appropriate, alternate site visits, school visits, other face-to-face meetings, regular phone contact and court appointments
  • Work closely with home school district to provide feedback on child’s progress, discharge planning and overall functioning.
  • Work with Treatment Team in developing accurate termination/transfer summaries in a timely fashion.
