School-Based Therapist Sign On Bonus

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college in social work, counseling, psychology or a related mental health field
  • Must be a LSW or LPC; LISW or LPCC is preferred
  • Must be qualified to provide counseling, psychotherapy, family therapy, and related services to population referred to in-school services
  • Minimum of five years’ experience working with mentally ill youth and their families of different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Highly motivated, flexible, independent, excellent communication skills, ability to engage difficult youth and their families, and knowledge of social systems, required
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record and documentation verifying current automobile insurance

Duties & Functions:

  • Provide school-based mental health services to individuals and their families who are referred to them
  • Complete application process with the family to enroll thm in the mental health system
  • Perform initial assessment of each child
  • Develop a treatment plan with client and family
  • Engage parents and family members in treatment, providing psychoeducational information about nurturing and behavior management
  • Provide referral information for families in meeting concrete needs, such as housing, medical care and legal
  • Provide consultation to school staff
  • Collaborate effectively with agency partner involved in treatment planning for youth and family
  • Adhere to all federal, state, local laws and regulations regarding reporting of abuse, intent to harm, and other life-threatening situations

Day Treatment Lead Therapist – Sign On Bonus

Day Treatment Lead Therapists are to ensure that the child receives optimal treatment, by providing therapeutic services to all youth in the Day Treatment Program, including individual, group and family therapy. This individual will provide clinical direction of individual, group and family-oriented treatment activities for assigned youth in the Day Treatment Program. 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college in social work, counseling, psychology or a related mental health field
  • Must be a LSW or LPC; LISW or LPCC is preferred
  • Must be qualified to provide counseling, psychotherapy, family therapy, and related services to population referred to in-school services

  • Collaborate with Day Treatment team members to develop and implement appropriate and effective treatment curriculums for Day Treatment groups
  • Collaborate with other individual and group therapists, as well as other internal and external partners, in the effective implementation of therapeutic interventions
  • Develop individual treatment and behavior plans for each youth after collaborating with both internal and external treatment team members
  • Maintain a safe and orderly therapeutic environment, in accordance with TFM and TCI, including supportive crisis intervention

Department: Partial Hospitalization

Day Treatment Group Specialist

The Day Treatment Group Specialist will assist in all facets of the daily management of the program and youth attending the program. This individual will be providing direct, day-to-day therapeutic interventions in accordance with the child’s treatment plan.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree, required
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Five or more years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree
  • Three years’ experience working with emotionally disturbed children, preferred
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, good driving record and proof of auto insurance
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must achieve and maintain Teaching Family Model Certification
  • Must achieve Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training that requires mastery of de-escalation techniques, crisis prevention and physical restraint techniques all for use on youth and adolescents

Duties & Functions:

  • Follow all program objectives, systems, policies, procedures and directives as indicated by supervisors and training personnel, as well as policies and procedures of the program and the agency. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
  • Demonstrate and reinforce the Teaching Family Model through day-to-day teaching
  • Monitors environment, ensures it is safe place for youth and staff; reports potentially dangerous conditions to the appropriate supervisor
  • Maintain a safe and orderly therapeutic environment, in accordance with TFM and TCI, including supportive crisis intervention for Day Treatment youth
  • Ability to physically intervene during crisis. This includes the functional ability to physically restrain youth/clients, requiring retention of trained knowledge under stress as well as the ability to meet significant physical demands including those of a struggle with someone who may potentially be physically larger and heavier, while making all possible efforts not to inflict injury. Includes the ability to continue to request or direct compliance from youth while they are being restrained
  • Modeling and guidance of the youth
  • Assist with Day Treatment group activities
  • Monitor and supervise youth’s behavior at all times
  • Complete all required documentation of youth in care
