ADMISSIONS
St. Aloysius offers information and referral services through our Admissions Department. Information is available on child and family caring services throughout the Greater Cincinnati Region and callers are assisted with making a connection.

EDUCATION

Education Center
An independent, private school that provides year-round quality special education K - 8 to children with emotional and behavior difficulties. The school serves children from many surrounding school districts. The center provides individualized services in classrooms with a 1:4 staff/pupil ratio.

COMMUNITY

Foster Care
Therapeutic foster care services are provided for children ages birth - 17. SAO recruits and trains foster parents in the Family Teaching Model and they are considered Teaching Parents. SAO is fully licensed through ODJFS and is a member of AdoptOhio.

RESIDENTIAL

Unity Home
A short-term facility for children ages 6-17 who are experiencing acute psychiatric distress that warrants being out of the home but not in a secured inpatient unit. A child's stay at the respite home is typically 5-14 days.

MENTAL HEALTH

Partial Hospitalization
This is a treatment program designed to help children ages 5-14 with severe emotional difficulties develop and maintain healthy social and coping skills. Children attend a half-day of PH and a half-day of school at SAO.

After School Partial Hospitalization
Children participating in our After School program receive group psychotherapy, individual therapy, activity therapy, social teaching interventions, social skills training, expressive therapies and home visits. Family therapy is a crucial component of the program so that we can strengthen and support families in their ongoing work with the child.

Outpatient Clinic
The Med Somatic Clinic is a result of a unique partnership between SAO and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Psychiatric Department. The clinic provides evaluation and ongoing medication management for children ages 5-18.

In-School Therapists
SAO provides individual, family and group therapy as well as psychiatric medication services on site for school districts in Hamilton and Butler Counties, including Cincinnati Public Schools.

Multisystemic Therapy (MST)
This is an intensive family and community based treatement in Butler County that addresses juvenile offenders and their families. The goals of MST services are to reduce the out-of-home placements, and empower the family to resolve future difficulties.
